Sebastian Puga is a creative executive. He specializes in designing brand experiences by innovating, positioning, and executing consistently in the hospitality and lifestyle market. Sebastian has over a 15 years of hospitality experience, working with some of the world’s most recognized organizations, leaders, and brands in multi-city markets.
Sebastian was the former VP of Brand Experience & Marketing for PUBLIC. He worked closely with Ian Schrager on all brand development, experiences, entertainment, hotel programming, F&B positioning, social media and PR strategies.
Sebastian received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Florida International University, and a minor in Hospitality Management. Raised by parents of Argentinean and Chilean descent, Puga was born and raised in Miami before making the move to NYC to manage the entertainment and hotel programming for Andre Balazs at The Standard Hotel in 2010.
He played an instrumental role at The Standard in executing F&B pop-ups and cultural programming for The Standard brand, including the international sensation 'Chez Andre' pop-up during New York Fashion Week and at Art Basel Miami.
Sebastian went on to join Morgan’s Hotel Group in 2013 as their Corporate Director of Brand Marketing, overseeing all hotel programming, hotel activations and cultural partnerships for MHG properties, including the opening of the Mondrian London in 2014. He was then appointed by hotelier Jason Pomeranc (Thompson Hotels, Sixty Hotels) as the VP of Brand, responsible for the brand’s marketing strategies and positioning across 3 hotels, as well launching The Nautilus, a 250 room property in Miami Beach in 2015.
